Sunshine Coast Council

The Sunshine Coast Council are once again a major sponsor for our annual World Environment Day Festival 2020 and we couldn't be more appreciative!

Queensland Water and Land Carers

We're excited to once more welcome Queensland Water and Land Carers (QWaLC) who joined us in 2019 to sponsor community groups at the World Environment Day Festival. Thanks to their support, over 30 groups doing invaluable work in our community can bring a stall to the festival for free and share their important work with thousands of people.

QWaLC is the peak body for natural resource management (NRM) volunteers. QWaLC’s roles include representation, advocacy, promotion, networking and insurance administration. Their membership consists of 380 groups and 30,000 individuals. QWaLC offers membership to community NRM volunteer groups. This includes groups such as Landcare (Coastcare, Bushcare etc), Catchment Associations, Species-specific protection groups and Friends-of groups.

If you're a community group, you can apply to become a member of QWaLC here.

Good Harvest

Good Harvest Organic Farm have been long-time supporters of World Environment Day Festival! As well as delicious smoothies and beautiful organic produce, Good Harvest's organic food + farm expo at WED features a speakers tent with experts in organic farming and sustainable living.

Australian Association for Environmental Education

It's our future and we all need to take responsibility - governments, business, schools, parents, youth and community.

Australian Association For Environmental Education Inc. provides:

  • Support to reinvigorate AuSSI sustainable schools and communities;

  • A resource portal for "getting started with sustainability";

  • Networking opportunities for member projects that promote EfS;

  • A source of professional development for educators across all sectors;

  • A collaborative approach to share informal EfS research and evaluation;

  • A unified voice for all EfS stakeholders across community, government, business and education sectors;

  • A peer-reviewed professional journal;

  • And the benefits of collective knowledge from a 40 year-old professional association working for sustainability.
