Sunshine Coast Council

The Sunshine Coast Council are once again a major sponsor for our annual World Environment Day Festival 2019 and we couldn't be more appreciative!

Noosa Council

Noosa Council have been generous sponsors of WED Festival for many years. The Noosa Council display tent will be there to inform you about the Noosa Biosphere and the wonderful initiatives they've got going on - like their waste management, bush land care and Koala Conservation Plan. Come learn something new and about how you can make a difference in your own backyard! Noosa Mayor Tony Wellington will be addressing the Festival at 10:25 on the Main Stage, so make sure to come say hi.

Queensland Water and Land Carers

We're excited to welcome Queensland Water and Land Carers (QWaLC) who have joined us in 2019 to sponsor community groups at the World Environment Day Festival. Thanks to their support, over 30 groups doing invaluable work in our community can bring a stall to the festival for free and share their important work with thousands of people.

QWaLC is the peak body for natural resource management (NRM) volunteers. QWaLC’s roles include representation, advocacy, promotion, networking and insurance administration. Their membership consists of 380 groups and 30,000 individuals. QWaLC offers membership to community NRM volunteer groups. This includes groups such as Landcare (Coastcare, Bushcare etc), Catchment Associations, Species-specific protection groups and Friends-of groups.

If you're a community group, you can apply to become a member of QWaLC here.
