2023 WED Fest Event

The festival connects communities and ecosystems and provides incentive to take action to protect the Earth. This year, SCEC is encouraging member groups and community organisations to hold events through the week of 3-11 June incorporating Monday the 5th WED. #BeatPlasticPollution calls for global solutions to combat plastic pollution.

The human mind knows no boundaries. But our planet does. Protecting it is a global challenge and responsibility. We have less than ten years to make real change, so we need to scale up our action for the planet. We have the solutions, knowledge and technology to limit climate change and avoid ecological collapse. #BeatPlasticPollution - United Nations environment programme - World Environment Day
